Who Are We?

Wooler Evangelical Church is an independent church founded in 1993 to take a stand for the Bible as the authoritative Word of God. We hold to a reformed evangelical position, using the New International Version of the Bible, Praise Hymns and Mission Praise.

The church is made up of ordinary people from different backgrounds. In the church we have both young and old, single people and families. But we have one thing in common we love God. and have found that Jesus Christ is the key to life. He gives us a sense of purpose for today, and a sure hope for the future.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that God sent him into the world for one reason alone. He came to deal with the problem of our sin. He gave his life, in our place, so that all who put their trust in him may know God's forgiveness.

We meet together because we want to learn, from the Bible, more about him and the way God wants us to live our lives.
